The event begins at the Moon Gate Arrival, where a reflective walkway and an arched entrance draped in midnight blue silk curtains create a first impression. A towering illuminated full moon serves as the backdrop for the evening’s first photo moment. Everything is framed by arrangements of white roses, carnations, and blue hydrangeas. A professional photographer is stationed nearby to capture each guest as they arrive.

As a welcome gift, each guest receives the Astronomer's Card Suite, featuring a personalized table assignment, a small notebook for recording stellar observations, and a copy of the dinner menu. Each keepsake is designed with the guest’s name and the constellation-inspired midnight blue aesthetic.

The observatory cocktail hour

Anchoring the cocktail hour is the Observatory Bar, where a dedicated bartender serves a curated menu of celestial-inspired cocktails. Signature selections include The Perigee, a refreshing blend of vodka, St-Germain, white cranberry, yuzu, and prosecco, and The Dark Side, a bold combination of mezcal, activated coconut charcoal, espresso, and demerara.

Guests can also enjoy a selection of classic cocktails reimagined for the evening, including the Stardust Martini, Celestial Old Fashioned, Lunar Negroni, Eclipse Spritz, and Zenith Sour.

Adding an interactive touch to the cocktail hour, the Lunar Roulette invites guests to leave their next drink to a game of fate. A spin of the wheel determines the cocktail to be served as the bartender prepares each selection. The roulette is set up at the bar for any guests who dare.

One of the evening's signature experiences is the Telescope Salon, where guests are invited to pause and admire the night sky during cocktail hour. Equipped with a large telescope and binoculars, the space offers an opportunity to observe the stars, making the most of the rooftop setting. Following the Observatory Cocktail Hour, the evening transitions into a multi-course dinner. Round tables are arranged throughout the rooftop, each styled to complement the celebration's celestial aesthetic. The full venue showcases how every element is part of a cohesive rooftop setting.

Each round table is dressed in midnight blue linens and paired with coordinating chairs and a Moon Pool Centerpiece. The dinnerware is thoughtfully arranged for every guest, while the seating layout is oriented toward the head table for cohesiveness.

The Lunar Society Long Table serves as the evening's head table, bringing honored guests together in a place of distinction. Positioned against the backdrop of the city skyline, it is illuminated by a moon projection that creates a striking focal point, while a suspended mirror ball casts reflections around.

One last wish

To conclude the evening on a sweet note, guests can enjoy selections from the Lunar Recess Dessert Cart as it makes its way around the rooftop. The cart offers a curated assortment of handcrafted pastries and bite-sized desserts inspired by the theme. The dessert selection can be customized by the client as per their preferences.

As the evening comes to an end, guests can visit the Wishing Jar Station and leave behind a wish for the future. Each wish is written on a card, rolled, and tied with a silver ribbon before being placed inside a glass jar.
