This is no Cinderella story where the evening ends at the stroke of midnight. Here, midnight marks the beginning of the celebration. Inspired by the centuries-old tradition of European masquerade balls, the experience reimagines the timeless custom for the modern host, where hidden identities unfold after the clock strikes twelve.

The Masquerade Gala is ideal for celebrations where mystery becomes part of the experience. The theme is suited for private social gatherings, singles mixers, and dating events where guests have the opportunity to meet one another behind the anonymity of a mask. Beyond that, the theme lends itself to holiday galas, black-tie fundraising events, annual awards nights, and other formal celebrations seeking a fun twist.

The evening's mystery begins at the Cloak Arrival, where each guest enters under a chosen alias. Draped in black and gold, with marble accents, the hallway entrance is illuminated by flickering candelabras, creating an atmosphere of intrigue.

Before entering the masquerade, each guest receives the Clockwork Accessories — a welcome package containing everything needed for the evening ahead. Inside is a memorabilia mask with its holder, a black hat, faux leather gloves, an event card outlining the evening's program, and a single red rose.

Greeting guests upon arrival is The Hooded Portrait, a framed artwork of a cloaked figure wearing a gold masquerade mask and holding a glass of wine. As one of the evening's signature pieces, it sets the mood for the gala while encouraging guests to preserve the mystery until midnight.

The masquerade begins

The evening's first conversations begin over masks and handcrafted cocktails. Guests are encouraged to meet one another with their identities hidden. An exhibit of masks and The Hidden Salon are the perfect tools to stir the curiosity and lead each introduction.

The Mask Library and Archive showcases a curated collection of ornate masquerade masks displayed throughout the venue. Styled as a gallery, each piece celebrates the artistry and tradition of the masquerade while contributing to the evening's mysterious vibe. Guests are invited to wander through the display while they mingle before the Midnight Reveal.

Another place for guests to gather is The Hidden Salon Bar, a cocktail bar inspired by the elegance of a traditional salon. Styled with rich wood furnishings and ambient lighting, the space offers a setting for conversation while serving a curated menu of Le Masquerade Cocktails made by a stationed bartender. Guests can also enjoy handcrafted chocolate bonbons displayed on elegant glass platters throughout the evening.

The midnight ceremony

As midnight approaches, anticipation builds for the evening's defining tradition: the Midnight Ceremony. Guests gather at the center of the venue as a fire dancer in costume and mask delivers a dramatic performance to heighten the excitement. At the stroke of midnight, everyone is invited to remove their masks together, revealing their identities to one another — and, for some, to the person they've chosen to know throughout the evening.

The Midnight Reveal can be tailored to the host's preferred style, to make the celebration uniquely its own. As the evening's signature moment, guests gather at the center of the venue in anticipation of the reveal. Whether the host chooses to lead the ceremony or join the reveal alongside everyone else, the experience will unfold with music, a shared countdown, and a final moment when every mask comes off together.

The central lounge is styled after the elegance of a European castle interior, where live instrumental music sets the tone for the reveal. There are gold-accented velvet lounges, brass-and-wood coffee tables, and carpeted flooring that complements the guests’ formal attire.

The space can also serve as the evening's presentation area, making it ideal for award ceremonies, product launches, speeches, or other special announcements that bring guests together.

The velvet interlude

With the mystery finally lifted, the evening transitions into a more relaxed celebration. Guests gather for a banquet and after-dinner cocktails, giving them the opportunity to continue the conversations they began behind their masks. It marks the beginning of the evening's after-reveal festivities, where connections made in mystery are celebrated out in the open.

Following the Midnight Reveal, guests take their seats at The Black Table for a late-night dinner. Draped in black silk linens and accented with deep red carnations, the tables are illuminated by candelabras that cast a warm glow across the evening's final gathering. Every place setting is prepared with polished dinnerware and a printed menu for a multi-course dining experience.

The celebration continues at The Hidden Salon Bar. Guests are invited to unwind with after-dinner cocktails in a lounge furnished with plush velvet seating, gold coffee tables, black floor lamps, and glowing candelabras. A live singer performs on a small stage, providing the soundtrack for the closing hours.
