As new clues are uncovered, another trail of footprints leads detectives to the next stop in the investigation. If the venue includes walkways, glowing trails can be added to guide players. Young detectives can split into groups to search different stations, compare their discoveries, and report back with new leads as they work together to solve the mystery.

Face-to-face with the suspects

The game isn't just for the kids. Adults become part of the investigation, too, as every parent, relative, and guest takes a seat as a potential suspect. Armed with a notepad and pen, young detectives make their way from one suspect to another while asking questions, taking notes, and deciding who they believe is hiding the truth.

Using the evidence they've gathered throughout the investigation, young detectives compare fingerprints collected at the crime scene with those of each suspect, using tools from their Caper Kit. Every match or mismatch helps eliminate suspects and test their theories. All these bring them one step closer to recovering the legendary Pikachu Illustrator Card.

With the list of suspects narrowed down, the final challenge begins. Young detectives question the remaining suspects, hoping to catch the culprit through their answers and reactions. Before the final buzzer sounds, everyone must decide who they believe stole the legendary Pikachu Illustrator Card and present their final accusation.

The investigation comes down to one final decision as players name the suspect they believe stole the rare Pikachu Illustrator Card. If they've chosen correctly, the culprit reveals the card's hiding place or returns it with a dramatic confession. Every suspect is encouraged to stay in character, making each ending feel a little different from the last.

Whether the detectives solve the mystery or not, the adventure ends on a high note. Theatrical smoke effects mark the final reveal as the Pikachu Illustrator Card is recovered. The young detectives then return the prized card to its display, placing it back where it belongs and standing guard to make sure it is never stolen again.
